After a long bout of day dreaming, thumb twiddling, doodling and running around in circles.... I've finally decided to get off my but and get back into drawing! I've had this little (okay, BIG) comic concept growing in the back of my brain for years. Yay escapism! It's time to put this thing on paper and actually do something with that little world. So much to do....  

Yay new projects! This has been such a productive day ^_^ I've been sculpting dragons eggs by hand. Every scale, crack, layer, and detail from bottom to top. It's been such a fascinating experience. Bringing an egg into reality is like being the mother of a fantasy. With each stroke of the knife, a story unfolds surrounding the creature inside... What their personality will be like, the shape of the egg reflecting the dragon within... I believe it's this way for any artist. In our minds, we create a little biography -a little world- around our newest creation. They each take on a life of their own, and become one of our many children.

Inspiration for an artist can come from anywhere... Wait... make that EVERYWHERE!!! I get a lot of my inspiration from nature. Trees... Flowers... Fallen Branches... Animals... And the stories of old. Legends of days gone by. The Old Ways. Lately my inspiration is leading more towards fantasy and the imagination. But as of this moment.... SKYRIM!!!!! Seriously. I finally jumped on the bandwagon after all this time. Between the music, scenery, and gameply, I'm actually finding a lot of new inspiration for my chainmaille and drawings (which I still need to put on DA). Anyway, back to wasting my evening in a new world ^_^ **Scampers
